The light sketching luminaires, developed by Philip Ross, are street lighting luminaires with which users can design their own public lighting designs through an ipad interface, including the intensity, direction and color of the light.
During my internship at Studio Philip Ross I helped develop light sketching for ecology, a new interface that in real time analyzed the ecological impact of a light sketch on the local fauna and suggested ways of reducing the ecological impact without affecting the human experience.
